Life in a Small Town

You know you live in a small town when the lady in the ball gown and tiara who is scraping out the monster pumpkin in order to race it in the regatta, is also your next door neighbor, AND was your son's seventh grade math teacher.

PS.Good regatta picture here. I couldn't get a good shot yesterday, it was too crowded!

Ginger, at the pumpkin weigh-in on Saturday.

That is most surely the biggest pumpkin I have ever seen in my life. And you and Ginger look like identical twins....you know if you were shorter

So do you weigh them before or after they've been scraped out?

And what's with the ball gown and tiara. I know you New Englanders love your pumpkins but isn't this getting a little OTT? ;)

We do look a lot alike, but Ginger is lucky enough to have a MUCH better nose than I have:)

Melody, I know, they are so huge and that one wasn't even the winner!

Katherine, definitely before they have been scraped out, the weigh in was on Saturday, the race on Sunday. I have no explanation whatsoever for the ball gown and tiara:) Maybe a dare?
