Oddly, I don't really feel influenced by Wolf Kahn's work, as I do others. I will check out Ted Larson's work.Tracy Helgesonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07510044613771862211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22266501.post-1146581166550964892006-05-02T10:46:00.000-04:002006-05-02T10:46:00.000-04:00I've said it before and I'll say it again, your wo...I've said it before and I'll say it again, your work is similar to Kahn's but I think that your work is better. I heard another artist comment on Kahn's work that when he's on, he's REALLY on but when he's off it's bad. Your work is consistently good. SAlso check out the work of Ted Larson. Not his recent sculptural work but his pastels. Lots of barns and landscapes. Lots of hatching and overlaying of color. I look at the work of a lot of artists, absorb their ideas, distill it internally, and incorporate the parts that are relevant to me, combine it with other ideas, methods, etc in me and make my own unique image that is a reflection of me.Ed Maskevichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06505691052584290449noreply@blogger.com
