At first I am worried that they are laughing about how ridiculous I am but then I usually find out they think it's way cool that I am an artist. But we are all shy and none of us communicate to the other!

I love that kids are so affected and yet casual about making art. Just another thing they can do.

Brooke, really you are into kid's art?! WoW:) Hey everyone, Brooke was the best art teacher (and friend, and artist AND mother of 4 boys) at my kid's school in Utah.

Thanks Takeyce, I know, very sweet. And I totally love the pastels they did. I have some competition, I think:)

Hi Melody, I admit to actively avoiding doing projects with my kid's classes, I am hopelessly uncomfortable in front of groups of people, especially kids. but I have done plenty of projects with our kids and it's been some of the best times we have had.Tracy Helgesonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07510044613771862211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22266501.post-71961976989783042602008-06-05T08:02:00.000-04:002008-06-05T08:02:00.000-04:00Doing art with kids is just so rewarding. Ah, the innocence of childhood.Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05156332528889687870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22266501.post-6668768573509498842008-06-04T21:14:00.000-04:002008-06-04T21:14:00.000-04:00Awww!!! They are so freakin' honest and will so openly worship a REAL artist.

I've been part of the guest artist program at our local junior high for 3 years. Every artist that participates comes away inspired and blown away at the same time. Also, the kids learn that (even in a community of 16,000) artists are real people working in their home town and not an oddity.

Cool huh?

Those kids' work inspired by you are so inspiring. Thanks for sharing them with us.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03922837232926592492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22266501.post-28047023898108875822008-06-04T08:56:00.000-04:002008-06-04T08:56:00.000-04:00so moody!so moody!gary rithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18228113061045717115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22266501.post-17708134286073139352008-06-04T07:01:00.000-04:002008-06-04T07:01:00.000-04:00wow, that sure is flattery! awesome!wow, that sure is flattery! awesome!Natalya Khorover Aikenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08490493432155941262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22266501.post-6336144932771243622008-06-03T15:09:00.000-04:002008-06-03T15:09:00.000-04:00Yes, Paul and the reason involves computer illiter...Yes, Paul and the reason involves computer illiteracy on my part:) I was hurrying to get the post up and didn't quite copy and paste the second link properly.
